Four-star cornerback Jaylon Johnson listed USC football among his top 11 schools Friday afternoon, boosting the Trojans hopes of landing the local recruit.

USC football made the cut in Fresno cornerback Jaylon Johnson’s top 11 alongside Oregon, Cal, Utah, Arizona, Arizona State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, and Michigan.

The four-star recruit posted his list on Twitter Friday afternoon saying, “My Top Schools in no order! Thank God for giving me the opportunity to play at the next Level.”

Johnson is the No. 11 cornerback for the class of 2017 and the No. 14 player in the state of California, according to the 247 Sports composite ranking.

A recent commit for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, Johnson is a physical defender with good size at 6-foot, 177 pounds.

The Trojans have added a wealth of cornerback talent over the last few years with Adoree’ Jackson, Iman Marshall and Jack Jones. Last year’s recruiting class included Jones and Keyshawn “Pie” Young as additions to the cornerback group but the class of 2017 features no one from that position as it stands.

Thomas Graham of Rancho Cucamonga had been committed to USC but backed off his pledge earlier this year.

The Trojans added two new members to the 2017 class last week as offensive line recruits Brett Neilon, a four-star center, and Andrew Vorhees, a three-star tackle, committed to USC.

With those two in the fold, USC’s class stands at eight, including running back Stephen Carr, safety Bubba Bolden, receiver Marlon Williams, athlete Randal Grimes and linebackers Juliano Falaniko and Daniel Green.
