Serra safety Brandon Burton will kick off Signing Day by announcing his college decision live on ESPN and WatchESPN.com at 9:00 p.m. Pacific.

Four-star safety Brandon Burton is set to choose between USC, UCLA, Arizona and Florida State at 9:00 p.m. Pacific as the first commit of Signing Day in the eastern time zone on the midnight SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt.

The Trojans already have Burton’s Serra teammates Oluwole Betiku and C.J. Pollard on campus, but they’ll be looking to add to their pipeline at the school by bringing in the nation’s sixth rated safety as well.

Landing Burton could be tricky, however, as Steve Sarkisian’s staff backed off of their pursuit of the player before Clay Helton’s staff renewed interest late in the game. Burton delayed his planned commitment at the start of the year and added the Trojans back into the mix, but we’ll have to wait to find out if the late push was enough.
