Four-star safety Brandon Burton will announce his college decision between USC, UCLA, Arizona and Florida State on the eve of Signing Day on ESPN.

Serra star Brandon Burton is set to announce the college of his choice on Tuesday night during the Scott Van Pelt show on ESPN at 9:00 p.m. Pacific.

The four-star safety is the sixth-rated safety in the class of 2016 and the 26th best prospect in the state of California, according to the 247Sports composite.

Burton had eliminated USC from contention earlier in the process and was scheduled to choose between UCLA and Florida State at the beginning of January. However, the new Trojan defensive staff re-offered the player and he delayed his commitment decision.

The 247Sports crystal ball projections give UCLA the edge with 53% of predictions, but the Trojans hold 47%.

More from Reign of Troy

Teammate and fellow safety C.J. Pollard is already enrolled at USC for the spring semester along with Serra defenisve lineman Oluwole Betiku. With the Trojans strong roots as a Serra pipeline, Burton would recognize plenty of familiar faces on the current roster.

USC currently has 13 commits for the 2016 class with seven already on campus. There are seven spots available as Signing Day approaches.

The Trojans are in need of additional numbers in the secondary for this class. Pollard is the lone safety in the class at the moment, though USC is also pursuing West Virgina commit Kyzir White and Florida State commit Jamel Cook.
