The 2025 football season is fast approaching, with just under two months to go before USC kicks off against Missouri State at 4:30 PM PST at the Los Angeles Coliseum. But while all eyes are on the upcoming campaign, there’s already plenty happening that could shape the Trojans’ future well beyond this fall. Regardless of how the season unfolds, USC is set to usher in a new era with the opening of the state-of-the-art Bloom Football Performance Center, which will serve as a football-only facility designed to elevate the program to new heights. As it stands, USC’s top-ranked 2026 recruiting class is expected to be the first to fully benefit from the new complex.
Currently, the Trojans operate out of the John McKay Center, which has long been considered limited in space for a program of USC’s caliber. That will soon change with the introduction of the Bloom Football Performance Center, a massive upgrade spanning approximately 163,000 square feet, which is more than double the size of the McKay facility. This expanded footprint is expected to provide USC Football with the resources and room necessary to compete at the highest level, both on the field and on the recruiting trail.
Of course, with a program as storied as USC, the new facility wouldn’t be complete without a strong nod to its rich history. The lobby of the Bloom Football Performance Center is expected to feature all eleven of USC’s national championships prominently on display, alongside a showcase of the program’s nation-leading eight Heisman Trophies. In addition, there will be a dedicated space honoring the 176 and counting All-Americans who have worn the Cardinal and Gold, ensuring that the legacy of Trojan greatness remains front and center for players, recruits, and fans alike.
But history is only part of what the Bloom Football Performance Center has to offer. Designed with both current players and future recruits in mind, the facility promises a suite of elite amenities that rank among the very best in the nation. Each player will enjoy an impressive 1,344 square feet of space, placing USC in the top three nationally in that category. The facility will feature a cutting edge, technology enhanced locker room with built-in recovery tools at every station to support peak athletic performance.
Meeting rooms and a weight room outfitted with the latest equipment and natural lighting will provide the ideal environment for both mental and physical development. Nutrition and hydration will be a priority with strategically placed fuel stations, while a recharging lounge will support the program’s commitment to technological integration and player wellness.
Hydrotherapy-focused spa zones will help with recovery and injury prevention, and the rooftop skyline terraces positioned atop the three-story facility will offer panoramic views of the Los Angeles skyline, creating a unique and inspiring atmosphere for the next generation of Trojans.
