Most recently playing with USC freshman Jazzy Davidson during Team USA's U-19 FIBA World Cup, Saniyah Hall won that competition's MVP recognition. During that tournament, Trojan fans saw how well Davidson already is at this point in her career with other top players around her. USC supporters also saw Hall pick her moments throughout the gold medal run, in which she, too, took over the game.
As reported earlier by On3's Talia Goodman, Hall announced her commitment to USC.
Being the number one player in the class of 2026 comes with a certain level of added excitement. More importantly, the potential of having Kennedy Smith, JuJu Watkins, Davidson, and Hall on the court together is something that would be hard to imagine other rosters being able to compete with.
There is also the potential of coach Lindsay Gottlieb being able to further add some of the top remaining players in Hall's class. Regardless of what else happens moving forward, the future of the Women of Troy is in a great position.
Continued gains for USC in recruiting
Coach Gottlieb continues to be able to bring the best players from around the country to Los Angeles.
While it is still a year away, the eventual addition of Hall to this Trojan lineup is going to be a significant piece for coach Gottlieb to continue to build the program around. For a program that is continuously looking to take that next step, USC has once again shown the ability to attract top-tier talent and showcase to players why LA is the best place for anyone to get the most out of their collegiate opportunity.
