The eventual first USC game for Jazzy Davidson as a Trojan has many fans excited. One of the top players in her high school recruiting class, her skill set is already highly impressive, and her ability to have a tremendous all-around impact has set her apart among her peers to this point in her young career.

A guard/forward who is able to offer her team any flexibility that is needed depending on the lineup on the floor, Davidson expects to have a large role for Team USA this summer during the U19 FIBA World Cup in the Czech Republic.

It started about as good as any fans of the American side could have hoped for. Team USA won the first game of the tournament in a dominating 134-53 win over Korea.

Davidson started and finished the game, playing a little over 17 minutes and finishing with a +/- of +33. Any time the Trojan freshman entered the court, there could be a certain level of composure and maturity to her game seen, an aspect that is likely to carry over once USC's collegiate games begin this fall.

Davidson finished with 10 points, two rebounds, and four assists. More important than the raw stat line, Davison makes the right plays. Her ability to push the pace and make the right reads gives Team USA an elite focal point to run the offense at any point.

Showing her toughness early on as well, an and-one and later a coast-to-coast steal and transition bucket also illustrated her dynamic, big-play ability, particularly in the open court.

This is the first start to the tournament that will have the Americans looking to go on a good run in group play. They will face Hungary next, in a matchup that can be viewed on YouTube Sunday at 11:15 a.m. PT.
