As is, this has been an incredible recruiting effort from USC. The way in which this Trojan staff is solidifying players and showcasing what's possible in the Cardinal and Gold is beginning to remind people of some of the earlier days of the program.

That being said, there are a couple more names that the USC faithful would love to also see added to the already talented classes.

A four-star athlete from the state of Texas, Jalen Lott is someone who is drawing a lot of intrigue from several football programs in the nation. Lott's commitment announcement is set for July 8, during an event that is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. his time and will be broadcast on On3.

The decision will come down to USC, Texas, Georgia, Oregon, and LSU.

Considering the way in which the Trojans have been able to be on the winning end of many recruiting battles as of late, it would not come as a surprise whatsoever to see Lott end up picking up a USC cap.

Recently on campus for an official visit, there is some sense of momentum pointing toward coach Lincoln Riley's staff having done enough to make the case as to why USC will end up being the best fit for Lott's career.

In the world, however, of predictions and flips, this is a decision that could still lead to any destination. It is unknown how to truly gauge what the talented prospect will be thinking until that early July date.

Imagine for a moment that he does come to Los Angeles. By that time it will either be Husan Longstreet or Jonas Williams throwing him the ball. Add that it will be in coach Riley's offense, and there is a ton of potential to get excited about.

True two-way potential from USC target

Although he is not listed as a wide receiver. Lott is officially listed as 'ATH' on the recruiting sites. The two-way potential is there. This is so much so that for a little bit, Colorado was in the mix for Lott's services, and they are looking to add their next version of Travis Hunter.

If it does end up being USC, the talented athlete could end up also seeing snaps in coach D'Anton Lynn's defense as well.
