USC Basketball Makes NCAA Tournament, Social Media Reacts

Social media was alight with the news that USC basketball will be heading to the NCAA tournament as a No. 11 seed with a play-in game versus Providence.

The day started with nerves for USC basketball, as the Trojans floated on the bubble waiting to hear their fate during CBS’s Selection Sunday Show.

As it turned out, they didn’t have to wait long with their bid secured in the East Region, the first region revealed. As one of the First Four play-in games, the No. 11 seed Trojans will take on Providence on Wednesday, in a rematch of last year’s first round.

Naturally, the Trojans themselves were ecstatic on Twitter while the analysts got down to work straight away.

USC will face off with Providence on Wednesday night. The winner of that game will take on SMU on Friday in Dayton.
