All-Time Series: USC leads 17-15

Last meeting: USC 66, Utah 69 on March 13, 2012

The Trojans head to Salt Lake City to face the Utah Utes in the hopes of winning their first conference game of 2014. That could be a tough task as Utah is 12-1 at home this season while USC is 5-2 on the road.

Of even greater concern for the Trojans, they have hit a brick wall in the Pac-12, dropping three straight games with an average margin of 24 points.

Utah faces a similar slump, losing two road games last week to Washington and Washington State.

Jordan Loveridge, a sophomore forward, leads the Utes with 16.4 points per game. The 6-6 forward also averages eight rebounds. Joining him as one of the focal points for Utah is 6-5 junior guard Delon Wright, who averages 15.5 points and 7.3 rebounds.

It’s the Utah defense that steals the show however. The Utes have given up just 60.3 points per game this season, which is 16th nationally.

For USC, Byron Wesley continues to lead the way with 17.5 points a game and 7.7 rebounds. He is the only Trojan to average double digit scoring. Freshman forward Nikola Jovanovic averages 12 points in USC wins, but just 5.7 in losses, so Andy Enfield will be looking for a strong game from him to leave town with a victory.
