USC recruiting resurgence fueled by culture and togetherness, more than money

Many will attempt to downplay the current and future recruiting success of USC. When one avenue for criticism is shut down, those looking to speak ill of the Trojans will find a new target after moving the goalpost to their talking point.

This has clouded the judgment of too many and prevents an honest discussion and evaluation of everything that is happening inside the program.

Yes, USC's ability to raise money and potentially offer more than any other program, both directly and indirectly, is a real aspect. For those who don't know, that is now allowed and well within the current structure of what's permissible in college sports.

With the effects of the NCAA House settlement and revenue sharing set to be fully implemented, these financial advantages will only benefit USC that much more compared to other schools.

That isn't why the Trojans are suddenly finding their groove again on the recruiting trail. Instead, it needs to be emphasized that this staff has done an excellent job of creating an environment that is driven and excited at the prospect of building a lethal annual contender in Los Angeles again.

This connected bond within the program for those who are already there and among the future Trojans alike is what is ultimately fueling the wave of recruiting success. It is certainly doing so much more than any amount of money alone would ever be able to do.

Recognition for USC efforts has to objectively come soon

From top to bottom, USC is a program that is inspiring and giving student-athletes genuine reason to believe that the Trojans will be able to compete at the highest levels in college football much sooner than what most outside voices are even willing to entertain.

Until it happens, words will not be enough. Being a doubting Thomas on the inner workings of what is transpiring at USC will become less and less frequent soon.
