USC has picked up two expert predictions from Rivals recruiting insiders Steve Wiltfong and Adam Gorney for elite four-star cornerback Duvay Williams out of Gardena (CA), who plays for Junipero Serra. Williams is ranked the No. 18 overall prospect in the 2027 class, the nation’s No. 3 cornerback, and the top-ranked player in California.

The highly coveted defensive back was in attendance at the Coliseum last week for USC’s dominant 73-13 win over Missouri State. The Trojans put on a show with a 60-point margin of victory, highlighted by a defensive pick-six and two additional forced turnovers, which provided an atmosphere that made a strong impression on one of California’s premier young prospects.

Williams already holds 42 scholarship offers, with Georgia and Texas A&M emerging as major contenders alongside USC in his recruitment. While no prospects in the 2027 class have been awarded five-star status yet, Williams’ standing as a top-20 national recruit puts him firmly in the conversation to earn that distinction down the line.

On the field in 2024, Williams posted 47 tackles, 16 pass breakups, and one interception which shows production that underscores his playmaking ability in coverage. At 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, he brings prototypical size for an elite cornerback prospect with plenty of room to add strength as he develops.

Additional honor for USC target

Williams has also committed to play in the 2026 All-American Bowl and earned an invitation to the prestigious Polynesian Bowl, further cementing his status as one of the premier prospects in the 2027 class.

USC does not currently have any commitments for the 2027 class of yet.
