It has been heading in that direction for a while now. USC has secured the commitment of the class of 2026 wide receiver Ethan 'Boobie' Feaster. The Texas wideout is one who has also reclassified. At the time it would not have been known, but Feaster will be leaving high school a full calendar year early in order to join the Trojans.
During a July 4 announcement ceremony, Feaster announced that he would be going from DeSoto, Texas, to Los Angeles, California. Among the other schools that were in contention were LSU, Alabama, and Texas A&M.
For coach Lincoln Riley, this is an excellent punctuation mark on what has proven to be a highly successful spring and summer of 2025. Now being able to also plan with Feaster in the mix, the prospect of what the Trojan offense will look like a little under a year and a half from now has to excite.
Already working on potential future USC connection
Earlier, as shared by Arrogant Nation on X, Feaster was seen catching passes and working out with the highly-linked class of 2027 quarterback Peyton Houston. At this point, there is not anything guaranteed, but it goes without saying that players talk to each other and, at a minimum, get a feel for what each other are thinking.
Houston's, unlike Feaster's, recruiting status is currently up in the air. Looking two years down the road, the mid-year 2025 clips could very well end up being a precursor for what is to be at the Coliseum. Houston could yet end up going elsewhere. Considering how well the trail has been for the Trojans as of late, there are a lot of continued promising signs on that front as well.
In the meantime, this latest decision points to yet another recruiting win for USC that likely would not have happened. Under the current staff and with the direction and current approach of the program, things are increasingly beginning to look up for the Trojans.
