For any team hoping to achieve at a high level, details have to matter. USC Projan Caleb Williams spent his rookie year under coach Matt Eberflus with the Chicago Bears. Now under coach Ben Johnson, there appears to be a significant change within the organization. It is one, however, that is universally recognized as being needed by the players and staff alike.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that coach Johnson is one who does not let any of the little things slip. For him, allowing even the slightest imperfection to go unchecked is unacceptable. While many have this aim while in charge, stating this and being able to put the words into practice and executing are often two separate things entirely.

Last year's players, according to the report, nearly demanded for the standards to be raised and to be held more accountable. Although a season removed, that wish appears now to have been granted.

This is something that will undoubtedly end up boding well for Williams as he enters his second season in the NFL. Having the collective that much more prepared for the upcoming year and more ready for any and all situations will allow the former Trojan to have an easier time and will allow him to more comfortably navigate the offense.

More of former USC quarterback's potential will be released

Being in a system that is overall more buttoned-up compared to his first alone will provide more stability for Williams. Too often, the signal-caller was forced to go beyond the drawn-up play and attempted to create on the fly. While that will always be a needed element in any offense, it is not something that anyone wants to see a franchise QB make a consistent living out of.

The scary part for the rest of the league is that even in last year's comparative chaos, Williams still did exceptionally well. Now with a better infrastructure in place, the Bears could very easily take that next leap in 2025.
