For all of the criticisms of Caleb Williams since leaving USC and joining the Chicago Bears, the quarterback actually had a good rookie year despite the false narratives that are out there against him.

Williams finished 17th out of all QBs, and his 3,541 yards were only 27 fewer than Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels and 234 less than Bo Nix. Seeing the changes that are happening in the Chicago Bears organization and looking at how the overall situation is better, that should be a great indicator that suggests it was only the floor of his production in the NFL.

Also coming off his first year in the league, Rome Odunze spoke on the temperature of this Chicago team heading into the 2025 season. While speaking with reporters, as shared by Da Bear Cave on X, the wide receiver spoke on why he is feeling optimistic about the offense heading into his second year in the NFL.

While the coaching situation and culture in the Bears' organization are shifting, it is still on the players to take advantage of this new-look opportunity and make the most out of their season preparations to hopefully, for them, see a couple more wins added to the column.

Continued drive and push from former USC QB

While sharing his overall thoughts, Odunze also spoke on what he is seeing from Williams specifically:

"He's continued to grow from what I've seen and make strides and continue to pour into his profession and his craft."

Players hate losing. For Williams to reportedly be taking strides after how last year unfolded for him is something that the rest of the league should be scared of. It is known that the Bears will have better and more support for their offensive players moving forward in particular.

Hearing that Williams is getting better and will be able to more comfortably make plays within a given system will only allow the Heisman Trophy winner to showcase his talents that much more.
