Zachariah Branch recently took to Twitter to recruit USC Football OT recruiting target Elijah Paige, after he de-committed from Notre Dame. Branch is of course USC's five-star wide receiver for the 2023 class (all recruiting ratings and rankings in article are as of 247Sports).

Paige, a four-star recruit, is predicted to go to USC at a 76.5% mark from 247Sports' Crystal Ball Predictions. He's also a west coast kid. Branch is from Las Vegas, Nevada and Paige is from Phoenix, Arizona. Paige hails from Pinnacle High School, where another likely USC offensive commit in five-star TE Duce Robinson plays.

People always say that for an offense to be great, they need an elite Quarterback, an elite left tackle, an elite No. 1 Wideout, and an elite Running Back. If Paige commits to USC, that would mean that SC has 2023 commitments from all four of those types of players. Five-star Malachi Nelson at QB, four-star Paige at LT, five-star Branch at WR, and four-star Quinten Joyner at RB.

Watching Zachariah Branch and Elijah Paige together with USC football would be special.

And both Elijah Paige and Zachariah Branch would have the chance to get significant playing time quickly with the USC football program. There will likely be a few offensive linemen moving on to train for the NFL after this season, so Paige could get his chance.

In Branch's case, Jordan Addison will likely be moving onto the NFL after this year, so that leaves a starting spot open that he can compete for. If Branch and USC are successful in bringing Paige to USC, they will be up to 19 commits, and 10 total four/five-star guys.

That would be more total commits than two teams ahead of them on the team recruiting rankings right now (Oregon and Miami), and it would also be more four/five-star commits than Miami. They'd be bound to move up from their No. 14 ranking that they own right now.

Perhaps this is a result of Notre Dame losing and USC winning. Notre Dame is down to 1-3 with their new head coach Marcus Freeman, and they are unranked. USC is up to 3-0 with their new head coach Lincoln Riley, are are ranked seventh in the nation. The two programs are going in different directions, and Paige likely wants to be part of that.
