After his performance at the notable Under Armour Future 50 Football Camp, USC Football WR commit Zachariah Branch has officially gained his fifth star, according to 247Sports:

Branch was already a "247Sports Composite" five-star recruit, but is now a five-star in regards to the standard "247Sports" rating as well. Branch is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 5 player in the entire country. They also have him as the No. 1(!) Wide Receiver in the entire country, as well as the No. 1 player in the entire state of Nevada.

Branch hails from high school powerhouse Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, and won a State Championship with them this past year. Branch caught 48 balls for 1,094 receiving yards and 14 receiving touchdowns. He also had two scores as a punt returner.

Zachariah Branch is a consensus elite speed/vertical threat that USC football is picking up.

Zachariah Branch is also expected to be an elite punt returner for USC football if he chooses to return punts as well. At 5-10, 172 pounds, he is a bit on the smaller side, but he's so elusive of a runner that he comes with very little downside.

USC continues to be well-represented at the UA Future 50 Football Camp, as just last year there were four SC commits who participated: DB Domani Jackson, RB Raleek Brown, WR CJ Williams, and DB Zion Branch (Zachariah's brother). Jackson was a five-star recruit too, as well as a fellow No. 5 player in the country and fellow No. 1 player in his state (California).

Being able to play with his older brother should also bode well for Zachariah. Everything seems to be lining up perfectly for Zachariah, and this is also terrific news for SC on the recruiting front in general. The class is already solid, and looks even better now.
