Austin Jones went off for 110 rushing yards on 12 carries during USC football's Week 3 win against Fresno State. He even contributed in the passing game; reeling in two catches for 16 yards. He led the team in carries and rushing yards, while also scoring a touchdown on the ground. Interestingly, the touchdown was supposed to be without a helmet on.

That touchdown was called back because he was ruled down once his helmet was ripped off, although that is of course a penalty on the Bulldogs. It's a foolish rule, as Jones was clearly going to score regardless, and it also was an amazing play to see from Jones. The truth is, Fresno State had such a tough time containing Jones that they had to rip his helmet off as their last resort.

To make it up for Jones on that bush league call, though, Lincoln Riley gave him the rock on the next play. Sure enough, he took it from the four-yard line and into the end zone.

It just goes to show that Jones can score with a helmet, he can score without a helmet, he can score whenever. Heck, this is the same guy who led the Pac-12 in rushing touchdowns just two seasons ago (nine touchdowns).

USC Football RB Austin Jones has now reached 196 yards on the ground this year.

Austin Jones has been doing this for USC football while averaging 8.2 yards per carry, which makes it even scarier. That rushing touchdown was his third of the season, and he also now has six catches for 68 receiving yards on the year. He and Travis Dye are seemingly working tirelessly at keeping the ball away from each other.

Both have been campaigning so hard for themselves to be the one who gets the most snaps. That being said, however, neither has won. It's unclear if either will ever win. Both are just having absolutely monster seasons and work perfectly together as a 1-2 punch. Heck, Dye had himself a day as well in this game too. He went for 102 rushing yards on 11 carries and had a touchdown too.

He caught three balls for 36 yards as well. Even No. 4 RB Darwin Barlow made the most of his couple carries, running for 17 yards. No. 3 RB Raleek Brown had a catch for eight yards. USC's RB room is DEEP again this season, and will continue to lead Riley's offense.

QB Caleb Williams even got his carries, and his two touchdowns on the ground. This running game is excellent, and is the backbone of this elite offense.
