USC football could add a new commit on Friday with four-star tight end target Keyan Burnett set to announce his choice between the Trojans, ASU, and Arizona.

The Servite product told Alec Simpson of Rivals his plans to make his commitment around midday on Mar. 5.

The Trojans are the current favorite to land Burnett in the 247Sports Crystal Ball, so that's a good sign going into the big day.

Burnett is built like most of USC's tight end targets lately. At 6-foot-5, 215 pounds, he has the size to be a dynamic playmaker for the Trojans. As a sophomore, he caught 22 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns.

Burnett is one of a few USC targets, commits and signees who were featured on MaxPreps' Preseason California All-State high school football team.

First-teamers included Burnett, WR target Teairoa McMillan, WR signee Kyron Ware-Hudson, OL target Earnest Greene III, OL signee Mason Murphy, LB signee Raesjon Davis, DB commit Domani Jackson, and DB signees Prophet Brown and Ceyair Wright, among others.

The second-team featured OL signee Maxiums Gibbs and DB signee Jaylin Smith.

Alfonzo Allen's Top 12

Four-star safety prospect Alfonzo Allen picked up an offer from USC a couple of weeks ago. He quickly included the Trojans in his Top 12.

The Trojans will have to take on UCF, ASU, USF, UAB, South Carolina, Florida State, Texas A&M, Clemson, LSU, Alabama and Miami for the No. 242 players in the 247Sports composite.

Isaiah Sategna's Top 10

USC started the week by landing in the Top 10 for four-star wide receiver Isaiah Sategna from Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Sategna is the son of a former Olympic sprinter, and he's got the speed to show for it. The Trojans have been after him since they offered in December.

For now, it looks like Texas A&M and Arkansas have the edge, per the 247Sports Crystal Ball, but USC, Baylor, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Florida State, South Carolina, and Missouri have time to change that.

Dayne Shor's Top 15

Four-star offensive tackle Dayne Shor dropped his Top 15 over the weekend.

That's a big list for the big man out of Georgia including USC, Oklahoma, Alabama, Oregon, Texas A&M, Florida State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Tennesee, Miami, North Carolina, UCF, Auburn and Georgia.

Right now, Auburn is the team to beat but the Trojans need offensive linemen badly enough to keep pushing.
