USC Football at UA Prediction, Odds for Week 9 College Football (Trojans favored big)
By Evan Desai
USC Football has a great opportunity to get right this weekend against Arizona, after they suffered a true heart-breaker against the Utah Utes in the week before the bye week. SC has a very good team this year. They're 6-1 and ranked in the top 10. Arizona has a very bad team this year. They're 3-4 and nowhere remotely close to the ranking.
USC Football at Arizona Odds Week 9
The odds for USC Football's Pac-12 meet-up with Arizona are sitting at -15.5, according to WynnBET sports book. It's -110 to take either USC -15.5, or UA +15.5. This is of course a change from last game, where they were the underdogs. Interestingly, they still covered the spread since they only lost by one point (they were +3.5).
USC Football at Arizona Prediction Week 9
USC Football should have no trouble with Arizona, and it would be wise to bet on that -15.5. Arizona's offense is considered to be a threat in the Pac-12, but in reality it's not even top 50 in the FBS in points per game. They also allow the eighth-most points per game in all of the FBS when it comes to the defensive side of the ball.
SC scores 40.4 points per game, which is tied for 12th in the FBS. Their defense has been suspect, but they're at least still in the top 41 in scoring defense. That's obviously a massive step up from where Arizona is. This game's on the road, but I still expect my 60-17 prediction to happen.
SC hasn't lost to Arizona since 2012, and are 36-8 all-time against the Wildcats. There's no reason anybody should be betting for anything other than that USC -15.5 mark. Sure, SC had a tough time covering in the past couple of years before this season, but Clay Helton is no longer the head coach now.
