After USC football picked up elite WR Jordan Addison in the transfer portal on Thursday, the internet went crazy.
USC, who already found an elite head coach this offseason, an elite quarterback this offseason, and an elite running back this offseason, just picked up the 2021 Biletnikoff winner. How was everyone supposed to react?
Addison had 100 catches for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns last year. Now that he's paired with the best offensive coach in America--he's somehow going to feast even harder in this system. Stewart Mandel of The Athletic can't believe how far this offense has come:
Imagine telling someone in November 2021 that USC's 2022 offense would include Caleb Williams, Jordan Addison and Travis Dye.

New USC football starting QB and new USC football No. 1 WR Jordan Addison already have built-in chemistry together.
Insider Jordan Schultz pointed out the connection that USC Football QB Caleb Williams already has with Jordan Addison. It was a major factor as to why Addison decided to transfer from Pitt and go play for the Trojans.
Caleb Williams and Jordan Addison are friends and both from the DMV. You can bet they’ll have instant chemistry as one of the most potent QB-WR duos in the country next season. #USC #Trojans

Famous FS1 TV/Radio personality and USC superfan Colin Cowherd took to Twitter to discuss the move as well. He couldn't contain his excitement:

National college football analyst Josh Pate even went as far to call this new crop of USC receivers heading into 2022 "one of the best wide receiver rooms we've seen at USC in quite a while."
That's saying quite a bit because they are just two years removed from having all of Drake London, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tyler Vaughns, and Bru McCoy all on the same squad together. Not to mention Gary Bryant Jr. was in the mix, too. That was even with Kyle Ford injured. Check out what Pate had to say in full in the tweet below:
"This is one of the best wide receiver rooms we've seen at USC in quite a while."

There were even angry tweets from Pittsburgh that USC fans can laugh at, accusing SC of illegally tampering with Addison despite literally zero factual evidence to prove it:
I love college football. And I don't blame Jordan Addison for taking the $. But the way it happened really pisses me off. There should be serious repercussions for a school like USC reaching out to a kid when he's not in the transfer portal. That's wrong.

When SC is at the top like this, however, it's in conversation for the most hated program in the nation. USC fans have always loved that.
The fact that SC is coming off of the worst year in program history, yet still has opposing fans from a different conference across the country steaming shows just how dominant of an offseason SC is having. This program's certainly having the best offseason in the country. The crazy part is; they're not even anywhere near to being done. Riley promised at least 10 transfers after spring. He's only at four right now.
