A lot of attention is understandably on the USC wide receiving duo of Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane. Someone, though, who should be receiving more attention is Prince Strachan. Having spent his first two years as a college player with Boise State, the wideoutalready has experience in the College Football Playoff.

As a back-to-back conference winner in the Mountain West, Strachan brings a certain element of winning to the Trojan program that has been missing, particularly last season.

Now in coach Lincoln Riley's system and with Jayden Maiava ready to lead the way, Strachan should see a number of favorable looks and matchups as the presumed third option on offense. The opposing defenses are going to have to gameplan with their focus being on Lemon and Lane in particular.

Considering how pass-friendly coach Riley's offense is, it will be easy to see Strachan be able to easily further prove himself as a WR in the Big Ten.

Role at USC

This could be seen as a step up in competition, although the Broncos did make the CFP. Being in the Big Ten is still a significant increase in levels compared to the Mountain West. At 6'5" and 215 lbs., Strachan is going to be able to adjust well and be an imposing force on the field.
Being strong and physical is something that will play into Strachan's hands as a newcomer to the conference. It is also an aspect that Trojan supporters are hoping to see more consistently throughout the team.

Add, too, that Strachan is quick for someone at his size and has a great ability to make contested catches, and the Trojan receiver is slated to have a big year in 2025. For someone who has legitimate NFL potential, Strachan is someone for USC fans to keep an eye on. It is easy to anticipate a good season of production from him.
