It would not be the first player who ends up joining USC who reclassifies. RJ Sermons and Mark Bowman are each arriving on campus a year earlier than what a four-year high school path would dictate.
Similarly, the same is true of Ethan Feaster, more commonly known as 'Boobie,' who reclassified from the 2027 class to the class of 2026. The wide receiver from Texas has a lot of interest from the top programs in the nation.
Feaster is down to his final four schools, with a decision expected on July 4. Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama, and USC have made the final cut. Earlier this month, the wideout made it to Los Angeles and experienced life on the Trojan campus, seemingly giving a good enough impression to at least remain in the conversation.
For coach Lincoln Riley and this Trojan staff to secure the services of Feaster, they will likely have made the case of how his skill set would fit in the offense and how his name would remain in college football immortality as a top producer at USC compared to everywhere else.
The pedigree of being a Trojan allows players to propel themselves through life, well after their eventual NFL career comes to an end.
Would be an ideal fit for WR at USC
Feaster's route running and top speed are large factors as to why he has been ranked as a five-star recruit. A nice part of his game that would especially benefit from playing under coach Riley is the variety of ways in which he can be used.
On quick throws and slants, Feaster has the ability to turn any competition into a house call. Add the scheme and way in which coach Riley draws up plays, and a couple of 1,000-yard seasons would certainly be in the cards for the wideout as a Trojan.
Feaster is someone who will produce a lot of yards and score many touchdowns, regardless of where he goes. If, however, he wants to make the most of his college experience, USC is the only choice to make for him.
