Already with the top class, USC has secured the commitment of another top prospect. Breck Kolojay made his decision official on Friday. In attendance was now-fellow Trojan commit Keenyi Pepe. Pepe is also an IMG Academy. Now the two will head to Los Angeles to further boost the offensive line for coach Lincoln Riley.
As reported by On3's Hayes Fawcett and shared on X, Kolojay had his selection between other schools, such as Georgia and Miami. The four-star lineman now rounds out what has been an unquestionably excellent recruiting class in an area that can always use some added fortification.
Being a player at IMG Academy in itself says a lot. One of the top high school football programs in the nation, with some of the best facilities, the program in Florida offers high schoolers a lot of added development that other schools are not quite able to offer at that level.
Players from IMG Academy often go on to play at the college level with an extra layer of preparedness for when they ultimately make the transition. Considering the programs that were hoping to secure the services of Kolojay, it is safe to say that this is another great win on the trail for USC.
Important element of USC recruiting
More importantly, a lot of what has led to the success of the Trojans is how well they have done at establishing and building relationships within the team and the incoming classes. Speaking to this point, Pepe, himself a top prospect from the same class of 2026, made it a point to be present and to show his support during the announcement ceremony.
Already forging a brotherhood, Kolojay and Pepe are showing a glimpse of why USC is looking like the program of old again when it comes to recruiting and why this latest success will be able to last under coach Riley.
