This USC staff has made their intentions clear for the class of 2026 in particular on the recruiting end. Among others, the addition of Luke Wafle and Keenyi Pepe is evidence of the emphasis that has been placed on improving the line play.
Now, with a class that already is shaping up to be the best and overall most complete in the nation, there are only a couple more spots that USC would like to further add to. At the wide receiver position, there is continued interest from the Trojan standpoint in securing the services of either Jalen Lott or Ethan Feaster (although fans would, of course, not mind at all if the 'or' could be switched to an 'and').
Sticking with 'Boobie,' Feaster is receiving a lot of late interest and a strong push from LSU and Texas A&M, among others. With a decision expected soon, USC remains in the mix, but the staff will likely be fighting for continued attention among several suitors until the last moments for the receiver from Texas.
Lott is seeing the likes of Oregon and Texas. Also from the Lone Star State, it is interesting to note that he is officially listed as an 'athlete' with the expectation that he would line up out wide on offense. Seeing Lott ultimately be a two-way player at the college level should not be something that catches anyone off guard if it ends up playing out like that for him.
Potential cherry on top for USC
Regardless of what happens for both of these prospects, the fact that USC, even with this already filled class, is in a position to also earn the commitment of these players while battling it out with others shows how much improved the Trojans are in their current approach.
As things stand now, there is a lot to look forward to with the 2026 class. Securing Lott or Feaster would be an excellent addition to what has already been an outstanding USC recruiting effort.
