As USC fans could see from the clips and reports that have emerged regarding Jonas Williams this week, there can be a lot learned through camps and showcases. Naturally, these types of events will not tell EVERYTHING or give close to a complete picture of a player.

These types of environments can be used, however, as part of the overall evaluation process of a high school player and their continued development and maturation process.

Class of 2026 commit Deshonne Redeaux will be busy in Indianapolis, as the running back has accepted his invitation to compete at the 2025 Rivals Five-Star event. It will take place from June 23-24, as shared by the series' social media page.

Many Trojan fans are excited to see the highly anticipated arrival of Redeaux and Shahn Alston a year from now when two of the nation's top running back prospects come to campus and join the Cardinal and Gold backfield.

Being able to watch Redeaux now and begin to create an impression against other highly rated players is something that those who follow Trojan football all year round will enjoy the chance of being able to do.

There are some who only tune in when the games themselves begin. That perspective is certainly a valid one to have as a fan.

For those who enjoy following the journey of the team and the individual players as they continue to work on  their game and share their experiences, something like the Rivals Five-Star exhibition helps to add one more chapter in what will ideally be a full and complete book by the time Redeaux steps off the field as a USC player for the last time.

Important future player in USC offense

There is a lot of anticipation for the 2026 class in particular. Redeaux is a large part of what immediately intrigues even those who do not pay as close attention to the offseason or recruiting activities of the program.

To be in a position to receive an invite for this event should say a lot either way. USC fans will have something to look forward to that further fills in the gap while waiting for the start of the 2025 season.
