Four-star wide receiver Quaydarius Davis announced his commitment to USC football’s recruiting class of 2021.

The USC football recruiting class of 2021 continues to get richer.

On Friday night, four-star wide receiver Quaydarius Davis became the latest recruit to hop on board USC’s rolling recruiting train.

The prospect from Skyline High School in Dallas, Texas took to Instagram with a graphic announcing his decision.

Davis ranks 105th in the 247Sports composite, making him USC’s third-highest commitment in the class. He is the Trojans’ sixth in the Top 250. By comparison, USC managed just one signee in the Top 250 for the class of 2020.

He committed to Texas during the summer of 2019, but announced his commitment in November. Since then the Trojans have come on strong. It likely doesn’t hurt that USC’s staff now has much stronger ties to the state of Texas.

Gabe Brooks of 247Sports praised Davis for his “physical nature and competitive fire,” noting his big play ability and willingness to block in the run game.

Since the Trojans saw three-star wideout Velltray Jefferson decommit earlier this year, Davis is the only current wide receiver pledge for the class.

USC is in an interesting position when it comes to wide receivers. They have a great deal of quality which will be sticking around in 2021, regardless of the NFL decision Amon-Ra St. Brown will be expected to make. Between Drake London, Kyle Ford, Bru McCoy and Gary Bryant, the receiving corps should be in good hands.

However, quantity is lacking, especially when it comes to an Air Raid offense. After the 2020 season, there could be just seven receivers on the roster. Obviously the Trojans will be looking to add reinforcements in the 2021 recruiting class. Davis certainly helps in that regard.

The class itself has 10 commitments with Davis added. Quarterback Jake Garcia is the headliner, along with fellow Top 100 pledge Ma’a Gaoteote, a linebacker and brother of current Trojan Palaie Gaoteote.
