USC Football Injury Report: Trio pulled from scrimmage (8/18)
Chuma Edoga, Levi Jones and Caleb Tremblay were pulled from Saturday’s scrimmage. Here’s the USC football injury report for August 18.
A trio of Trojans were pulled from USC football’s Fall Camp scrimmage on Saturday, adding to an already full injury list.
Offensive lineman Chuma Edoga’s lingering hip issue saw him take to the sidelines with a massive impact on the scrimmage. Already missing Clayton Bradley, Austin Jackson, Andrew Vorhees and Frank Martin due to injury and with only Jalen McKenzie and Bernard Schirmer as functioning tackles, the Trojans opted not to run a two-minute drill for the three quarterbacks.
Defensive lineman Caleb Tremblay picked up an ankle injury and also left the scrimmage, but his absence was not as much of an issue with both a healthy and deep defensive line rotation available, despite the absence of Liam Jimmons and Jacob Lichtenstein.

A hand injury for Levi Jones did, however, throw the inside linebacker situation into even starker reality.
Cameron Smith, Palaie Gaoteote and Solomon Tuliaupupu remained out on Saturday while John Houston was among the veteran starters who were sparsely used on the day. Jones had only just return from an ankle injury and got two productive drives in alongside Reuben Peters before he was forced back out of the lineup. Raymond Scott took his place with the first team as a result.
Luckily for USC, tight end didn’t suffer any scrimmage injuries, but the position could hardly afford to lose another. Three of the four scholarship players at that spot didn’t suit up for action on Saturday, including Daniel Imatorbhebhe, Tyler Petite and Erik Krommenhoek. Josh Falo continued to hold up the fort.
Wide receiver has been slightly less thoroughly hit, but Michael Pittman, Josh Imatorbhebhe and Jake Russell stayed out of pads as well.

Defensive backs Ykili Ross and Chase Williams were also among the sidelined, along with running back Markese Stepp, who remains in concussion protocol.
