It was an injury free day with Jack Jones and Tyler Petite returning to action. Get up to date with Thursday’s USC injury report fall camp practice No. 10.

USC came out of Thursday’s fall camp with no injuries to report, leaving only good news for the injury report.

“I got a blank card today, which was good,” head coach Clay Helton was pleased to announce after practice, with the Trojans making it through the day unscathed.

At cornerback, Jack Jones returned to action on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday with an arm and shoulder issue.

With freshman cornerback Greg Johnson out with a shoulder injury, Jones’ return helped boost the cornerback group, which got another addition with running back Dominic Davis switching sides.

USC Injury Report:

  • Out for camp: LB Tayler Katoa (knee), CB Jonathan Lockett (hip), OT Nathan Smith (knee)
  • Out: TE Josh Falo (knee), TE Daniel Imatorbhebhe (hip), CB Greg Johnson (shoulder), S Marvell Tell III (hamstring) RB James Toland (groin), OL Alijah Vera-Tucker (hamstring), WR Keyshawn “Pie” Young (hamstring)
  • Limited: DL Kenny Bigelow (knee), WR Deontay Burnett (ankle), CB Je’Quari Godfrey (knee), CB Jack Jones (arm), OL Frank Martin (hamstring), TE Tyler Petite (concussion)

On the other side of the ball, tight end Tyler Petite was also back in the line up, on a limited basis. The junior had been out because of a concussion, but he was allowed to ease back into practice, taking part in the 7-on-7 portion but not 11-on-11.

Wide receiver Deontay Burnett also took part after taking a day to rest his sore ankles, giving USC a full compliment of pass catchers, with the exception of Keyshawn “Pie” Young, who remains sidelined with a hamstring.

Safety Marvell Tell is also still dealing with a hamstring concern, but former walk-on Matt Lopes made a full return, taking first team reps next to Chris Hawkins in Tell’s place.
