Mini-ticket plans for USC Football’s 2017 season went on sale on Thursday, with the new Tommy Pass offering reduced prices at the cost of designated seats.
While USC’s announcement of the re-seating plan for the LA Coliseum in 2019 drew plenty of attention on Thursday, the Trojans also put new ticket mini-plans on sale on May the 4th, giving USC fans plenty of options to watch their team in 2017.
As always, the mini-plans allow fans who don’t want to lock into a full slate of home games to pick and choose between two and seven home contests to attend for less than purchasing tickets for each game individually.
A two-game flex pack may run as low as $90 or as high as $145, depending on the section.
USC is also offering packages including the premium games of Texas or UCLA, along with one other game of your choice for as low as $125.
All of that is standard fare, but the inclusion of the new Tommy Pass could be a game-changer for USC fans looking to save a fair bit of money.
The concept of the Tommy Pass was first introduced for USC Basketball last season, and it’s now been added to the football side of things.

The idea is to trade a lower price for what is essentially a floating season ticket. Instead of occupying a specific seat for the whole season, those with a Tommy Pass will have their seat assigned on a game-by-game basis. These passes are entirely mobile, with your ticket delivered electronically to your phone each week 48 hours before the game. They’re also restricted from resale or transfer to another person.

For $199 you can lock into six home games or you can get the entire slate of contests at the Coliseum for $249. That’s $28 or $35 per game.
Of course, the quality of your seat would be left up to luck. Depending on the tickets sold for each game, you could end up with a steal of a seat for the price or you could end up in the nose bleeds.

For some it may be worth the discount. For others, the piece of mind of knowing your seat could be worth paying more for a full season ticket.
Either way, USC is giving fans the option to choose what’s best for them.
