The USC vs Arizona game at Arizona Stadium in Tucson on October 15 has been assigned a kickoff time, starting at 12:30 p.m. on FOX.

USC fans can look forward to yet another Trojan game televised nationally on FOX after it was announced USC vs Arizona will kick off at 12:30 p.m. on the network.

The Trojans played back-to-back games on FOX against Utah on a Friday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium then this past Saturday at the Coliseum against ASU.

The noon start will also be the third afternoon game for USC in 2016. They opened the home slate with an 11:00 a.m. kick off versus Utah State and are slated to play Colorado at the Coliseum this coming week with a start time of 1:00 p.m.

Though the worst of the summer heat will have passed by mid-October, the early kickoff could mean temperatures at or around 90 degrees.

Before facing off with Arizona, USC must past the test against the No. 21 Buffaloes, who come into the match up flying high off wins over Oregon and Oregon State.

More from Reign of Troy

The Trojans are feeling good themselves after dominating Arizona State, but the September slate which left them reeling with a 1-3 record still looms large over USC’s prospects going forward in 2016.

If USC can nab the win over Colorado, the contest with Arizona would be a must-win towards keeping their hopes in the Pac-12 South alive. However, if the Trojans lose to the Buffaloes, their chances of repeating the division title will have been all but dashed.

The Wildcats are in a similar situation as the Trojans. With losses to Washington and UCLA in conference, Arizona must upset Utah in Salt Lake City to stay alive in the South division race. An Arizona win over the Utes would also do USC a favor since Utah owns a tie-breaker over the Trojans.

Should USC and Arizona both prevail this week, the October 15 match up could have big stakes. If both lose, however, the national spotlight could be on a game with pride alone on the line.
