Four-star athlete Warren Thompson announced his Top 10 schools for 2018 on Twitter Monday, with USC football making the cut.
USC football continues to recruit the state of Florida hard this cycle, earning a place on yet another favorites list for a prospect from the Sunshine State on Monday night.
Warren Thompson, a 2018 recruit out of Armwood High School in Seffner, Florida, named the the Trojans among his Top 10.
“Very thankful blessed and honored to be in this position,” Thompson wrote on Twitter. “These are the schools that I will be sticking with throughout my process.”
Along with USC, Thompson listed Florida State, Miami, Florida, USF, Louisville, Georgia, Penn State, Mississippi State and Tennessee.
At 6-foot-4, 185 pounds, Thompson has played quarterback and wide receiver in high school, but projects at the latter position for the college game. He is rated as the No. 9 athlete in the class of 2018 and the No. 29 player in the state of Florida, according to the 247 Sports composite.
Nationally, he ranks No. 141 in the class.

Though it is exceedingly early in the recruiting cycle for 2018, Florida is the 247 Crystal Ball favorite to eventually land Thompson’s signature.
USC has three commits for 2018 with a year and a half to go. Five-star Oaks Christian quarterback Matt Corral headlines the class while his teammate and four-star linebacker Bo Calvert and Narbonne’s Raymond Scott, a four-star linebacker as well, are also pledged.
The Trojans recently added their tenth commit to the 2017 class. Three-star cornerback Wylan Free announced his commitment on Friday.
He joins running back Stephen Carr, center Brett Neilon, tackle Andrew Voorhees, tight end Erik Krommenhoek, athlete Randal Grimes, wide receiver Marlon Williams, safety C.J. Miller and linebackers Juliano Falaniko and Daniel Green as a USC pledge.
