USC football’s home opener against Utah State on September 10 will feature a Marcus Allen bobblehead giveaway.
USC football opens the 2016 home slate against Utah State at 11:00 a.m., an unusual start time in Troy, which may explain some added incentive to make it to the game on time — a Marcus Allen bobblehead.
The Trojans will offer the bobblehead featuring the Heisman winner before the game on September 10.
That date will also be the first time USC fans will deal with new NFL security rules at the Coliseum, including restrictions allowing only clear bags into the stadium.
While USC has not indicated if they will continue to have past Trojan greats lead the team onto the field this season, it is a safe bet that Allen may be the one to make an appearance in the tunnel.
Of course, the Trojans will hope his appearance is met with better results than the last time he led the team out — against Washington State in 2013 ahead of the loss which started the clock ticking on Lane Kiffin’s tenure as head coach.
At the moment, USC is only selling season tickets and mini plans, with single game tickets available only to Trojan Athletic Fund Members, season ticket holders and alumni.
Single-game tickets go on sale to the general public on July 26 at 9:00 a.m.
USC’s home schedule includes six games — Utah State, Arizona State, Colorado, Cal, Oregon and Notre Dame.

Game times for just Utah State, at 11:00 a.m., and Cal, on a Thursday night at 7:30 p.m., have been set.
This is Utah State’s second trip to the Coliseum in the last four seasons. The Trojans beat the Aggies 17-14 in Los Angeles in 2013. It was Lane Kiffin’s last home game before being fired after USC’s road loss to Arizona State.
USC will start the season with a neutral site clash against Alabama at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on September 3.
The away slate also includes trips to Stanford, Utah, Arizona, Washington and UCLA, giving USC one of the toughest schedules in the country this year.
