Four-star prospect Fred Hansard, one of the nation’s top defensive tackles for 2017, named USC football in his Top 9 schools Monday evening.
Summer time listing season is in full swing with yet another top recruit putting USC football among his favorites.
This time it was Fred Hansard of Princeton, New Jersey who named USC, along with Rutgers, Alabama, Florida, Penn State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Michigan State and Pittsburgh, in his Top 9 on Monday night.
The four-star defensive tackle posted the list in a video on Twitter, running through each of the schools along with a smattering of his own highlights in between.
Hansard is ranked by the 247 Sports composite as the No. 10 defensive tackle in the Class of 2017. He’s also the No. 3 player in the state New Jersey and the No. 165 player in the country.
Crystal Ball projections have Rutgers as the favorite to land the 6-foot-3, 324 pound monster of a lineman.

Though USC managed to strengthen the defensive line in the transfer market by adding Stevie Tu’ikolovatu for the 2016 season, the Trojans are still in need of reinforcements up front on the recruiting trail.
The 2017 class of commitments features no defensive linemen as of now, but USC is definitely on the look out to add some big bodies to the defensive front by Signing Day next year.
All told the Trojans boast ten pledges including four-star running back Stephen Carr, four-star safety Bubba Bolden, four-star center Brett Neilon, three-star tackle Andrew Voorhees, three-star athlete Randal Grimes, three-star wide receiver Marlon Williams, three-star tight end Erik Krommenhoek, three-star safety C.J. Miller and three-star linebackers Daniel Green and Juliano Falaniko.
