Four-star cornerback Elijah Molden out of West Linn, Oregon named his Top 4 schools Saturday with USC football making the cut.

Cornerback Elijah Molden announced his Top 4 schools Saturday morning on Twitter, listing USC football among his favorites heading into the fall.

“I have decided to narrow my list to 4 schools,” Molden wrote. “I now look forward to West Linn’s 2016 season. God Bless. #LionPride.”

Along with the Trojans, Molden listed the hometown Oregon Ducks, Stanford Cardinal and Washington Huskies for a Pac-12 heavy group.

Molden is the No. 23 cornerback in the 2017 class and the second-best player in the state of Oregon, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Standing 5-foot-10, 181 pounds Molden is a physical defender and sure tackler on the outside. He is also a capable running back for his high school squad.

Unsurprisingly, Oregon holds a significant edge in Crystal Ball projections for the West Linn-product.

USC is pursuing a number of cornerbacks for this class, including former commit Thomas Graham who recently named his Top 10 with the Trojans included. Three-star cornerback prospect Jaylan Shaw also featured USC among his Top 4 schools this week. Meanwhile, four-star Jaylon Johnson released a Top 11 including USC a couple weeks ago.

The Trojans’ 2017 class currently stands ten strong, but none of that number are cornerbacks. New safety commit C.J. Miller could slot into that role, however, if USC needs cover.

All told, USC’s class includes running back Stephen Carr, receiver Marlon Williams, tight end Erik Krommenhoek, athlete Randal Grimes, center Brett Neilon and tackle Andrew Vorhees. On the defensive side of things the Trojans will look to add Miller, safety Bubba Bolden, and linebackers Juliano Falaniko and Daniel Green.
