Reggie Bush appeared on the Rich Eisen show Thursday, revealing that the things required for a potential return to USC are in motion.

Reggie Bush’s return to USC may be in the works.

Bush spoke to Rich Eisen Thursday on his radio show about his experience going to the Pac-12 Championship game at Levi’s Stadium in December, his first time back in the vicinity of USC’s football program since the university indefinitely disassociated him as part of NCAA sanctions.

“Honestly I wasn’t going to go. If it wasn’t for Marcus Allen and Ronnie Lott calling me and expressing how much they wanted me to be there and how much everybody else wanted me to be there at the game, I wouldn’t have gone,” Bush said.

“Going back and seeing the reception that I got in the locker room, from the coaches to a lot of the old trainers that have been there since I was there, the equipment managers and then the players, it was great to be back.”

Bush also hinted that the end of his disassociation and a return to USC is on the table.

“There are some things that are in motion right now that we’re waiting to happen and to see.”

Those things may involve the NCAA’s mandated dissociation with the former Heisman winnner. Unlike the one imposed on Michigan’s Chris Webber, which was set at ten years, there was no time table on Bush’s blacklisting from the USC program.

The former Trojan running back attended the LA Clipper’s comeback victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder Wednesday night, but his reception was not a warm one. Fans booed Bush, but he shrugged off the hate.

“It comes with the territory. I’ve been booed. I’ve been cheered. I’ve had a little bit of both. It is what it is. I understand it. I’m not dumb. I get it,” said Bush.

He spoke at length about dealing with negativity with fans, from San Francisco 49er fans who booed the team this past season to New Orleans fans who gave the Saints players grief after losses during their Super Bowl winning season.

“I’ve never had anyone come up to me and tell me that they hate me,” said Bush, relaying experiences when he noted the same fans who were booing him coming up after games asking for autographs or pictures with him.

In those instances, the running back said his policy is to “kill them with kindness.”

Back in 2012, Bush told Dan Patrick on his radio program that he had no desire to return to USC, but that sentiment seems to have softened.

In due time, he may have the chance to kill Trojan fans with kindness at the Coliseum.
