Four-star JUCO transfer Kyzir White kept his commitment to West Virgina, signing with the Mountaineers after looking at USC.
Lackawanna Community College safety Kyzir White stuck with West Virginia on Signing Day despite a late push from USC to land the four-star safety.
After receiving no scholarship offers out of high school, White proved to be a late bloomer and thrived at Lachawana Community College. At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds he has a big-body and he uses it to punish opposing players with hard hits. Though his pass coverage is somewhat lacking compared to his abilities as a run-stopper, he has an exceptional pedigree.
His oldest brother, Kevin, was a Biletnikoff finalist at West Virginia and his other brother, Ka’Raun, is a receiver for the Mountaineers as well.
A unanimous four-star, White is considered the top JUCO safety in the country by three of the four major recruiting services — Rivals ranked him second. 247Sports has him ranked highest among JUCO prospects at 12th with his lowest ranking coming from Scout at 27th.

The Trojans have already welcomed four-star C.J. Pollard in this class and added Marvell Tell and Ykili Ross last year, but there remains a need for more bodies at safety, a position which has been hit with injury problems for the better part of two seasons.
White’s size and physicality would have been a welcome addition to the unit, especially considering the apparent shift in the Pac-12 back towards power offenses, but the Trojans will have to make due with what they have.
