Pelon has missed a good deal of the season due to injury but he had just gotten back to action for the first time in three weeks against Arizona. The defensive end had one of his most productive outings of the year with four tackles and an assisted sack.

This is eerily similar to the beginning of October, when Pelon was evaluated on the sideline, then carted off the field after spraining his ankle. Though he was available for the Trojans game against Washington, he missed the next three weeks after injuring his knee during that contest.
There was no update as to the extent of the injury this time.
The Trojans had another major injury scare during practice Tuesday when center Khaliel Rodgers appeared to be hurt, prompting makeshift centers Nico Falah and Viane Talamaivao to get in extra time practicing their snaps.
Though Helton said after practice that the shoulder injury is a minor one and should not stop Rodgers from playing against Colorado, the concern that USC could lose their third starting center this season could not be avoided.
After Max Tuerk went out injured for the season with an ACL tear, his back up Toa Lobendahn was also lost to a knee injury, prompting the promotion of Rodgers, who has stood in well for the past three contests.
Also on the injury front, Tre Madden remains limited during practice, but Helton indicated after that he will work out with the running back how much of a role he can handle on Friday.
