Steve Sarkisian is Pac-12’s Most Followed Head Coach On Twitter
Steve Sarkisian may not be the Pac-12’s most highly-rated head coach, but he does check in as its most followed.

The Trojan manager falls well behind Jim Harbaugh, who is now the nation’s most popular head coach on Twitter with 269K followers. (H/T redditor Orobs)
Still @CoachSark’s 55.2K followers tops all 11 other coaches in the conference and even the totals of nine of the official athletics department Twitter accounts in the Pac-12 — all but Oregon and Arizona State.
That includes @UCLAAthletics’ 47.7K by the way.
In fact, @USCAthletics checks in with the second most Twitter followers in the conference with 74.6K, behind only the whopping 115K follwers of @GoDucks, the official account of Oregon’s athletics department.
Twitter is the new wild west in recruiting, where coaches and players mingle in the same social media stratosphere for better or for worse. So it is no surprise that one of the conference’s better recruiters has a fairly decent handle on the social media front, from teasing commitments with “Woof” as Washington’s head coach to posting practice reaction videos with regularity this spring.

Of course, Twitter can get you into trouble as well, as Jim Harbaugh
The only other coach in the Pac-12 without a Twitter account is new Oregon State head man Gary Andersen.
Fun fact though, the 2015 World Darts Champion @Gary Anderson180 has more followers than nine of the Pac-12 coaches.
Which says a lot about the status of the majority of the Pac-12, which lags pretty far behind others in terms of social media engagement.
Though Oregon’s football account, @WinTheDay, boasts 106K, that number hardly stands up to the 203K of @LSUfball, 241K of @AlabamaFTBL or 297K of @UMichFootball.
From a coaching perspective, the Twitter accounts of every single Pac-12 coach combined does not equal the number of followers possessed by Urban Meyer, with 263K, or Harbaugh.
