USC football recruiting turned an eye towards the future with a slew of 2017 offers this weekend while key 2016 recruit KJ Costello has narrowed his choices down to three.
The four-star quarterback from Rancho Santa Margarita will decide between USC, Stanford and Michigan according to Lindsey Thiry of the Los Angeles Times.

Costello attended USC’s Saturday practice, according to Adam Gorney.
Questions remain about the necessity of taking a quarterback in the 2016 class, considering that USC brought in Ricky Town and Sam Darnold, two highly-touted signal callers, in the 2015 class.
Still, Costello is one of the top players in the state and the Trojan coaching staff appears to be more than willing to bring him on.
Should Costello spurn USC for the Cardinal or the Wolverines, attention would likely shift to 2017 on the quarterback front.
Visit Leaves Impression On Tagovailoa:
Speaking of 2017 quarterbacks, the Trojans have offers already on the table for two 2017 recruits at the position: dual-threat 4-stars Tate Martell and Tua Tagovailoa.
The latter, a prospect from Hawaii who has drawn comparisons with fellow Honolulu-native Marcus Mariota, unofficially visited USC on Thursday and seemed to come away with a positive impression.

The Mariota connection means USC would face stiff competition from Oregon for the up-and-comer’s signature.
Despite, the Tavovailoa visit and a seemingly decent shot at landing Martell, the Trojans are not sitting back on the recruiting trail. Shawn Robinson, the top dual-threat quarterback in Texas for 2017, picked up an offer from USC over the weekend.
