Former USC running back Buck Allen posted a faster than expected time in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine Saturday, impressing scouts with such quickness at his size.
Allen posted a 4.55 second run on his first try then topped that with a 4.53 time on his second attempt. The time was good for sixth among running backs at the combine, tied with Cameron Artis-Payne from Auburn.
As usual, social media was on top of the days events.
Here’s a look at the best twitter reaction to Allen’s Combine performance:
#USC RB Javorius "Buck" Allen just ran an unofficial 4.55 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. Not bad for his size.

Nice 4.55 40 by USC RB Javorius "Buck" Allen. Really curious to see where he'll end up-think he'll be sneaky productive as a pro #NFLCombine

Funny story. I originally thought Javorius and Buck Allen were different Runningbacks on USC

Good time at 221 lbs RT @JoshNorris #USC RB Buck Allen 1st forty: 4.55, 10 yd of 1.61

Buck Allen's time isn't terrible for his size but I see little pop on tape. Nothing special to his game as a runner.

Interesting how much more attn TJ Yeldon gets than Buck Allen. They give you a lot of the same things.

Another note on former #USC RB Buck Allen - tied for last among RBs with 11 bench press reps.

A few 40-yard dash times of former #USC players that I find interesting: Robert Woods 4.51, Marqise Lee 4.52 & Buck Allen 4.53 (unofficial).
