USC cornerback Adoree’ Jackson was named to the AFCA All-American first team as an all-purpose player, making him the 28th unanimous All-American Trojan.
Adoree’ Jackson had four All-American first team nods coming into USC’s bowl prep practices. On Wednesday morning, the American Football Coaches Association made it five, selecting him as their first team all-purpose player to complete the unanimous All-American circuit.
The Thorpe Award winner was named a first team cornerback by Sporting News, Walter Camp and the AP, while the FWAA placed him as their first team punt returner.
Jackson is the 28th unanimous All-American selection at USC and the first since Marqise Lee achieved it in 2012.
It seems fitting that Jackson achieved his unanimous status via three different positions since he was one of the nation’s most dangerous versatile players.
At cornerback he earned the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year Award after leading the Trojans with four interceptions and 11 pass break ups.

He was undoubtedly the most ferocious kick returner in the conference as well, if not the country, returning two punts and two kickoffs for touchdowns.
Rounding out his special ability, Jackson scored a 55-yard receiving touchdown and converted four first downs for USC this season as a rusher.
As a unanimous All-American he secured his place in Trojan lore as one of the most decorated players to ever play for USC.
The AFCA also named JuJu Smith-Schuster to their All-American second team at wide receiver. Thought Smith-Schuster was limited by injury for much of the year, he finished with 781 yards and nine touchdowns on the season.
