An interesting collision in the sports world was shared on Monday by the USC men's basketball social media page. At the moment, coach Eric Musselman is preparing the Trojans for the upcoming season. For Caleb Williams, he is about to enter his second full year in the NFL with the Chicago Bears.

A post from the USC team showed the coach and former Trojan together with coach Musselman in an #18 Bears shirt.

The caption pointed out that both are about to enter their second year within their current programs. Taking a moment to see both show a 'V for Victory' is one of the more unique and intriguing cross-sport matchups that can be found.

In a sense, both the current and former Trojans are in a year that many will be keeping an eye on. The men's basketball team is looking to have a stronger showing this upcoming year after trying to find its way in the Big Ten a year ago.

Williams is hoping to avoid the sophomore slump that can often be seen. Yet, despite having a very good rookie season on a team that dropped the ball in many areas, critics believe he will have a lot to prove under new head coach Ben Johnson.

Unmatched togetherness at USC

Regardless of what happens, something like this should show how wide the USC network is and how willing Trojans are to stand up and support each other. Certainly, other colleges have a willingness to lend a hand beyond their immediate sport. The Trojans as a whole show much more of a connection and bond under the Cardinal and Gold compared to others.

2025 will be interesting across all aspects, and there is a lot to look forward to. Coach Musselman and Williams being able to meet up during the summer is a neat, uniquely USC feat that should enhance a great deal of Trojan pride.
