The Nike Hoop Summit took place in Portland, Oregon. For Team USA, USC women's basketball commit Jazzy Davidson lived up to her current #3 ranking in the class of 2025. During the exhibition against Team World, the high school senior led the way and had an all-around great performance in the 88-78 win.

Classified as a guard, Davidson is a true Swiss Army knife on the basketball court and can play any number of positions. From showcasing her elite vision to backing down defenders in the post, it's clear that she is ready to make a day-one impact when she steps foot on the USC campus.

The Hoop Summit is something of an exhibition, but both sets of players gave a full-out effort while keeping the game competitive throughout the four quarters of play. Toward the end, Team USA built and was able to hold on to their lead. This was in large part due to the efforts of Davidson.

On the break, she managed to find the open teammates. A couple of times, she was able to go deep, akin to a quarterback dropping a 60-yard dime up the seam of the football field. Then in the half-court setting, she did a good job of not forcing anything and keeping the offensive flow. Here too, she made a number of passes that most players wouldn't even consider trying.

Then, showing her range, Davidson knocked down a couple of jumpers as she finished with 17 points. Her seven rebounds, six assists, three steals, and three blocks only further illustrate how great of a two-way player she is and will continue to be for the Trojans come the fall.

Good foundational player for USC women's basketball

As is evident by her stat line, the Oregon native is someone who hustles and plays both ends of the floor at an exceptional level. Her presence and basketball IQ allowed her to step into passing lanes and hurry up the opposing ball handler, making life uncomfortable for Team World to get into an offense. When she wasn't initiating the switch off the turnover, it was her sprinting down the court as an outlet option in transition.

A lot is unknown for USC women's basketball at the moment, including when JuJu Watkins will be able to return. Watching someone as team-centric and skilled as Davidson should serve as a highly encouraging sign for the Trojan faithful from the five-star commit.
