USC's quest to build a CFP-quality roster continued Monday with the commitment of wide receiver Terrell Anderson. The Trojans brought in the sophomore wide receiver on a visit over the weekend and made sure he didn't leave Los Angeles without a commitment.
It's a big get for USC, who is trying to replace the production of their two top wide receivers — Makai Lemon, who won the Biletnikoff Award and Ja'Kobi Lane, who declared for the 2026 NFL Draft.

Anderson had a breakthrough season this year, catching 39 balls for 629 yards and five touchdowns. He'll now be paired up with Tanook Hines and should enjoy the single coverage opportunities with Jayden Maiava throwing him the ball.
It feels like a perfect fit for what the Trojans' offense wants to be next year. They have Maiava and running back King Miller returning. Miller rushed for nearly 1,000 yards last season despite getting limited work until October.
USC is going all-in on making the College Football Playoffs in 2026. The Trojans have already secured a No. 1-ranked recruiting class and are now looking to continue the roster build with immediate help in the portal. Over the weekend, USC received commitments from the No. 1-rated cornerback Jontez Williams from Iowa State and added middle linebacker Deven Bryant from Washington.
When does the transfer portal close?
The transfer portal window opened on Janaury 2 and will close on January 16. Unlike past seasons, there is only one transfer portal window in college football, so USC has to make the most of these next two weeks. So far, they have received commitments from all three major visitors they hosted this season.
USC is far from done and is still expected to host Cam Coleman, the number one wide receiver in the portal. The Trojans are also expected to bring in some experienced defensive linemen to solidify that unit.
