The transfer portal opened on Jan. 2, and while the Trojans just wrapped up securing the No. 1 recruiting class for 2026 and re-signing key members of the 2026 squad, general manager Chad Bowden and the rest of the staff are busy putting the finishing touches on the roster through the transfer portal to make sure USC fields a playoff-caliber team next season.

The Trojans have already secured visits from high-ranking transfer portal prospects.

Trojans is currently hosting top CB in portal

Former Iowa State cornerbackJontez Williams is set to visit USC on Saturday, and the Trojans having the first shot is a big deal. Saturday Blitz has Williams as the top-ranked cornerback available in the transfer portal. Williams spent four seasons with the Cyclones before an ACL injury sidelined him this season. With one year of eligibility left, he could be an instant CB1 for USC.

There will be a lot of competition for Williams. Both Notre Dame and Florida have been mentioned as potential fits. But he's in Los Angeles first and Bowden's goal will be to make sure that Williams doesn't leave town without committing to the Trojans.

Williams was a lightly regarded recruit out of high school with Iowa State jumping in late to snag him from FCS program Tennessee Tech. His best season was 2024 when he started all 13 games as a sophomore and finished with 46 tackles and four interceptions.

Top outside WR target is also in town

The Trojans are set to host N.C. State wide receiver Anderson this week, with the standout pass catcher ranked as the No. 5 wide receiver in the portal. Heading into his junior season, Anderson was the highest PFF-rated receiver at NC State last year, posting 39 catches, 629 yards and five touchdowns. His strong production and experience make him an ideal veteran presence for USC’s wide receiver group.

USC is going to be looking to replace the production of Biletnikoff Award winner Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane, who has also declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. The Trojans are looking to land two major pieces to pair with Tanook Hines and maximize the potential of the USC passing game. Anderson would be a major addition as the rising junior appears to be on the cusp of a big breakout season.
