USC added another key piece to its 2027 recruiting class as Isaia Vandermade announced his commitment to the Trojans. The Rancho Santa Margarita standout chose USC over offers from Oregon, Minnesota, and California, ultimately opting to join the program that already feels like home. His father, a former USC star who later spent a decade on the Trojans’ coaching staff, adds another layer of legacy to the decision.
While Oregon was viewed as USC’s strongest competition throughout the process, the Trojans entered as the clear favorite, and Vandermade’s commitment reinforces that expectation.

Isaia Vandermade is the latest 2027 commit for USC
Standing 6'4" and weighing 270 pounds, Vandermade opens the 2027 recruiting cycle as a composite three‑star prospect. He currently ranks as the No. 80 player in California, and his 83.33 rating places him on the cusp of four‑star status. A dominant senior season could push him higher in the rankings as evaluations continue.
His junior season paired him with fellow USC freshman Trent Mosley as Rancho Santa Margarita captured a state championship. Vandermade appeared in all 14 games, recording 47 total tackles and 9 sacks, along with 13.5 tackles for loss.
Vandermade’s commitment propels USC into the No. 20 spot in the 2027 team rankings. With three pledges now on board, Aaryn Washington remains the Trojans’ highest‑rated recruit. Momentum is clearly building once again on the recruiting trail, and USC appears poised for a significant climb up the rankings in the coming months.
