The 2014 USC football recruiting class began Signing Day by getting its first commitment from Florida cornerback Lamont Simmons and concluded with five-star athlete Juju Smith committing to the Trojans.

In between the two bookends, the Trojans got signed letters of intent from all other 12 verbal commits including tight end Bryce Dixon and offensive lineman Viane Talamaivao.  Steve Sarkisian’s nationally ranked class finishes with two five-stars, nine four-stars and eight three-stars.

The moments of suspense revolved around announcements from Adoree’ Jackson, Damien Mama and Smith.  According to Sarkisian, the coaches were unaware of who each prospect was set to announce for.

National Signing Day in 2014 was significantly less stressful than the de-commitment party that took place last year.  Aside from the anxious moments that came with the elite three’s commitments, Jackson provided some worry when his letter of intent was delayed in its arrival to USC. >>Read More
