During the 2025 Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, the USC School of Cinematic Arts won an award for 'Arrival of the Trojan,' an intro video that took the world by storm following its introduction. Intended to be played at the Coliseum, that dream was realized for the creative mind behind the project, Flint Tanquary. The creation that he spearheaded, after garnering over 20 million views online, was then played before the Wisconsin game at the Trojan home stadium.

Now, 'Arrival of the Trojan' is also officially an Emmy Award-winning piece of media work, as the video won in the category of SHORT PROMO – SPORTS.

To see this type of project come together from a lifelong USC fan and become a reality, only to then earn further significant accolades, only speaks to everything that is possible as a Trojan.

With the beginning of the football season upon the fans, it is only fitting that the news of this latest recognition should come roughly a month before the next season after the video was released.

For Tanquary and everyone from the School of Cinematic Arts, the USC Creative Team, and SONY, this is an honor that can be looked on with a great deal of pride.

Excellent recognition for USC

The hype video itself went beyond what is typically seen in this type of format and instead truly became a shorter masterpiece as well as a fitting way for the other team to know whose field they were standing in. Rallying the troops and dropping into the Coli, 'Arrival of the Trojan' perfectly blended the needed grit, history, and presence of what it has to mean when USC plays a home game.

Now with an Emmy as well, this work has received a fitting tribute for the efforts that went into creating the video.
