It is only a three-day event, but already USC commit Jonas Williams is showing during a national showcase why he is one of the better prospects in the nation of his class. The Rivals Elite 11 Finals provides an opportunity for those who received an invite to prove their place in the scope of high school rankings.

For some, like Williams, the event is also providing an opportunity for the Trojan fan base to get an early look at the QB. He is also making a great case for a potential star-rating increase in the near future.

The first day had a lot of clips shared from the event of the players going through the drills. Two things stood out with Williams that should encourage USC fans a lot. For one, his mechanics and footwork are already at a high level. Second, the quarterback out of Lincoln-Way East High School has the needed arm talent.

Posts from the event showed Williams' inch-perfect ball placement and zip on the ball in what would be a tight window during a game. The way he seamlessly showed the ability to throw the ball deep and with accuracy also stood out to those who were following along with the Rivals' camp.

Eager to see more of USC commit

There are still two more days, and the varying workouts and challenges that will be placed in front of the athletes will test Williams and his peers in different ways. Still, it is hard not to get even a little excited when watching someone so early in their career show the ability to calmly perform under pressure with all of the attention on him during his reps and perform well.

Williams is a member of the class of 2026. A lot can change for all student-athletes and within the landscape of college football between now and when he would arrive on campus. Early returns are showing that coach Lincoln Riley has found another great QB talent to work with at USC.
