Basketball fans may recognize the Metropolitans 92 name. That is the basketball in France after all that Victor Wembanyama played for before being drafted by the San Antonio Spurs. Another product from that club will now join USC.

Kezza Giffa, a transfer from High Point University, is set to help coach Eric Musselman for the 2025-2026 season. A veteran guard whose stops include UTEP and Daytona State fits the exact type of profile that the Trojans are looking to supplement their depth chart each year via the transfer portal.

The southpaw, as shared by On3's Joe Tipton on X, made the announcement of his decision to join the Trojans on Thursday. A regular starter and someone who earned an All-Big South First Team selection, Giffa is someone who should be able to seamlessly help out at the two-guard position.

Before making his decision, Giffa had visits to programs such as Iowa and Seton Hall before ultimately landing on USC.

It is a backcourt that will now include Giffa, Jerry Easter, Alijah Arenas, Jordan Marsh, Patrick O'Brien, and Rodney Rice. Considering how teams have to retool to a certain extent each offseason, coach Musselman has shown his ability to navigate the transfer portal seas and what looks to be a Trojans side that offers a lot of promise for its second year in the Big Ten.

Giffa has ball-handling skills and can be trusted in that regard, particularly late. Where he excels is when he is able to play as a true shooting guard. Between creating off the dribble and then extending his range, he is a high-level scorer.

The way Giffa also penetrates to the basket allows him to give opposing backcourts trouble, particularly in how he finds ways to legally initiate contact to keep the other team's players off his hip while maintaining his balance to finish tough buckets at the rim.

Adding someone with a lot of experience and clear scoring ability is an element that every team tries to add more of. For coach Musselman, bringing in Giffa to compete on this Trojan roster for playing time is a good move that will pay off through the course of non-conference and BIG play.
